How we compare

We look at products that are being promoted online and search big marketplaces for the same item using image search. A person reviews every match before a page goes live.

What the labels mean

Strong visual match: the product photos and design are the same. Close match: the design is the same, but a detail such as colour, size or set contents may differ, so check the option before you buy.

We haven't bought either item, so we can't speak to quality. The same-looking product can come from different factories.

How we work out the delivered price

We add the item price, the shipping cost to the US and, for items that ship from abroad, an estimate of import charges (30% of item plus shipping). Where shipping wasn't shown we use an estimate and say so. When the price depends on the option, we show the highest one.

Prices change

Every price shows the date we checked it. Marketplace prices change often, so always check the listing.

Corrections

If a page is wrong or out of date, email us and we'll correct or remove it.
